difficult to sum up in a few words....Complete Delight

This was one of the best dinners I've ever had in Holborn! Everything was absolutely delicious - I had "L'agneau du chef" (lamb cotlet) and caramelized onions that was absolutely wonderful; I kept eating way past being full. My husband ordered The Sole Picassso, cooked in tarragon sauce, decorated with fruit and prawns which he also raved about. Service was just perfect, right there when we needed him but not obtrusive. Prices were reasonable for the value. You can't miss Denise if you're in the Holborn Area!

For the past eight years, whenever I am in London I have eaten at Denise's restaurant. The food is excellent (and consistently so), the prices are very competitive and the service is always superb and very friendly.The wine list is good and the wine is not over-priced as in some restaurants. Finally the ambiance is wonderfull, and now even better, i can book my table online.

I particularly like the steaks and the chicken chasseur, as well as the wonderful sweets. I can't recommend this french restaurant in the heart of london highly enough!!

Taste of Paris in the heart of London

Absolutely fabulous find in Bloomsbury! Staff is extremely warm and attentive. Food OUTSTANDING. The thing that make's Denise's even better is their late, late hours. Owner is very involved and it shows. Their culinary staff produces excellent product. Nice, friendly waitstaff of personable young ladies. Great restaurant with great people and great hours. A wonderful experience all around. My definate restaurant stop each and every time I am in London.

Superb french cuisine late at night.

We visited Denises for an late evening meal in august 2009 around half past midnight. We found the staff very welcoming and friendly.My boyfriend had king prawns to start with which were beautiful, Obviously fresh, meaty and very tasty. He chose fillet steak for main meal and I had Pasta Carbonara, The steak was cooked medium as requested and perfectly. The pasta was equally very tasty and portions were very substantial and we had a very enjoyable meal. We shared a bottle of wine and had one dessert between us and felt it was exceptional value for money considering the quality of the food. We also overheard a gentleman sitting behind us comment to the waitress that he had just eaten the best mussels he had ever tasted!! If you are in the area we would strongly recommend you try this restaurant in holborn.
